A review of U.S. Bureau of the Census and U.S. Department of Agriculture data given by Roy Beck, co-author of studies on the relationship between population growth and land loss in:

  • 100 largest Urbanized Areas nationwide
  • all Urbanized Areas in California
  • all Urbanized Areas in Florida
  • (in progress for Summer of 2002) statewide land loss nationwide
